Roulette rules and Strategy
Roulette is a classic among casino games. Roulette has been played in European casinos since the 18th century, and is still one of the most popular games casinos all over the world. Roulette is a slow-paced game with style and dignity. There are two types of roulette games, European Roulette and American. The difference is that the European wheel has 37 numbers, 0-36; the American wheel also has a double zero. The double zero makes the house edge much higher for American Roulette. The casino advantage for American roulette is 5.3% and for European 2.7%. Roulette has a large range of betting options with various payouts:
A bet on one number only, called a straight-up bet (Plein ), pays 35 to 1.
A two-number bet, called split bet (Cheval), pays 17 to 1.
A three-number bet, called street bet (Transversale Plein), pays 11 to 1. C
A four-number bet, called corner bet (Carré), pays 8 to 1.
A six-number bet (Transversale Simple), pays 5 to 1.
A bet on the outside dozen or column, pays 2 to 1.
A bet on the outside even money bets, black/red even/odd high/low, pays 1 to 1.
When it comes to correct strategy for roulette there is not much you can do to improve your chances. Roulette is a game of luck and there is very little skill involved. A Roulette system will not make you a winner. Its impossible to construct a system that beats roulette in the long run.
But there is at least one very important advice I can give you. Newer play American Roulette! European Roulette is the same game but with a much smaller house edge. Play European Roulette or don’t play at all.
